Informed Individuals statutes
 
§1 Purpose
The purpose of Informed Individual is to strengthen the ability of the individual to make choices in accordance with its values
 
§1.1 Realisation
This purpose will be realised primarily through implementing and making available a new information model. The model will separate collection, organisation, interpretation and distribution of information. The models working principles are based on trust and openness.
 
The development of this model will be done in an open development community based on open source.  II wishes to employ existing standards as much as possible, and work for further standardization where required. This is particularly relevant in regards to data which is being treated differently across borders and business areas.

With regards to data capture and processing II wish to base the implementation on API's and distributed models.

Other methods of attaining II's purpose would include strengthening communication infrastructure, work towards standardisation and openness and work for freedom of speech.

§1.2 Values
Informed Individual is run independent of
    •    Political parties
    •    Religion
    •    Nationality and ethnicity
    •    Technology

II is not run by any commercial interests. II is governed by its purpose, and will cooperate with commercial players to further that purpose.

§2. Organisation
Informed Individual is an organisation in the voluntary sector with a board and advisory council. The board appoints members of the advisory council, leader and vice-leader. Leader and vice-leader is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Informed Individual. The advisory council's purpose is to assist the board.

§3. Members
The members of II must work towards the purpose of II. Members can be both private and non-private.
 
§4. The Advisory Council

The advisory council is appointed by the board. The council can only consist of members. The purpose of the council is to make recommendations for the board. The recommendations are not compulsory.


§5. The board

The board is the Informed Individuals governing body.

The chairman of the board calls into a board meeting
    •    A minimum of once per year
    •    When the leader requests a board meeting
    •    When atleast 1/4 of the board requests a board meeting

The responsibilities of the board includes to
    •    To regulate the composition of the board (requires 2/3 majority)
    •    To regulate the composition of the advisory council (requires majoriry)
    •    Elect leader and vice-leader (requires majority)
    •    Set membership fees (requires majority)
    •    Expel members (requires majority)
    •    Change the statutes (requires 2/3 majority)
    •    Dissolve Informed Individual (requires unanimous vote)

The board chooses its members according to the purpose of Informed Individual.
 
The decicions of the board shall be made publically available.
 
§6. Economy
§6.1 Income
The sources of income is membership fee and contributions

Membership fee
    •    Membership fee is recieved from members.
    •    Membership for individuals is free, but they can choose to pay a early fee.
    •    Membership fee for non-private members is set by the board
 
Contributions
    •    Independent contributions are without attatched commitments other than working towards the purpose of Informed Individual.
    •    Dependent contributions are where an interrested party has a specific requirement, and wishes to cover costs connected with realising this requirement. The leader decides which dependent contributions to accept and the prioritasation of resources.
 
§6.1 Procurement
The chairman of the board, leader and vice-leader has right to procurement.

§6.2 Accounting
II's accounting will be made publically available.
